Working directly under VP Finance, monthly close processes, create various financial reports and identify process improvements and assist in problem resolution. Partner with key internal staff to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting analyses.
Requirements:
- Supports the monthly closing process and maintains the month end close schedule.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform detailed financial analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts.
- Assist with year-end audit.
- Maintain fixed asset subsidiary ledger. Record monthly depreciation, additions, and disposals. Prepare annual property tax returns.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
- Responsible for product royalty reporting, recording and reconciliation.
- Provide routine financial reports and ad-hoc reports for operations review and decision-making.
- Provide accounting assistance to staff on recording transactions in accordance with GAAP, accounting best practices and company policy.
- Assist with maintaining subsidiary ledgers, and other journal entries relating to fixed assets, prepaid expenses, deposits, and others.
- Working with VP Finance, look for areas of process improvements and possible solutions to identified problems.
- Assist the VP Finance with special projects, program implementation and development of accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare annual 1099’s.
- Assist with ERP system implementation and documentation of processes and procedures related to accounting and finance functions.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Thorough knowledge of general accounting and cost accounting principles and ability to apply general accounting theory.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Strong technical skills in account reconciliation and month-end closing responsibilities, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, problem analysis and problem resolution.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, accuracy, and punctuality.
- Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines that may extend work hours.
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and support management decisions and goals in a positive and professional manner.
Education and Experience:
- BS/BA in accounting or finance, or equivalent education and experience.
- Work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least five (5) years in a directly related position in accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. The base salary for this position is $83,995-115,493. This range reflects base salary only, and does not include additional compensation or benefits. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience, education, training and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
